Some years ago when I was in university, a friend asked me “Do you ever get the feeling that you’re living in a bad cyberpunk novel?” I feel that way now, more than ever, especially after reading the headline “Miss World riots escalate“. Just when you thought that life on Earth was getting boring.

Speaking of cyberpunk novels, I started reading Neuromancer for the first time since I first read it some ten years ago. I remember being a little confused as to the plot and, luckily, can’t remember much of the story. It’s all new to me. Maybe bits and pieces will float to the top of my consciousness in the form of déjà vu. We shall see.
