It&#8217;s about time Canadian special effects shops received some recognition.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to everyone I know who works at Alias\/Wavefront, even though they probably won&#8217;t ever read this. I did a stint at both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discreet.com\/\">Discreet Logic<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.softimage.com\/\">Softimage<\/a> in Montr\u00c3\u00a9al a while back, and have much respect for those who can handle and enjoy the work in high-end graphics software development.
